In the hot summer months, Iced barley tea, or mugi-cha is commonly drunk in japan to help combat the brutal heat, and often served for free at restaurants. Unsweetened, and iced cold, its flavour is unmistakably linked with summer here. This pen is themed after a cold glass of the tea with ice crystals floating just under the surface.
